Sometimes All We Need Is a Reminder

Sometimes All We Need Is a Reminder

If you made time to do more of what you love,
what would your life look like?

It doesn’t have to be a big answer.
Sometimes it’s just a quiet morning walk,
an unhurried call to your parents,
or taking time to really enjoy that first cup of coffee.

Doing what you love doesn’t have to be loud.
It just has to be true.

We started Garage because of the love we were raised with.
There was no roadmap. Just a feeling.
We’re learning as we go.

Not long ago, we were at our regular coffee spot—The Well.
We’d see the same older man every time. We never exchanged names,
but every time we crossed paths,
he’d smile and simply say:
“Thank you for being here.”

It sounds so small,
but those four words lifted us more than the coffee ever did.

One morning, we sat nearby and shared a conversation.
He talked about his grandkids.
We talked about becoming new parents—how it’s beautiful, but hard.
There are late nights. Fewer date nights. Big adjustments.

But he didn’t focus on any of that.
Instead, he said this:
“It’s a blessing to be a parent. You’re doing a good job.”

That was it. A simple sentence.
From someone we barely knew.
But it felt like the exact thing we needed to hear.

Sometimes, what we need most is a reminder.
That we’re seen.
That we’re doing okay.
That we’re not alone.

That’s why we created Garage.
Not just for shirts.
But for stories.
For kindness.
For those unexpected moments of encouragement—
even from strangers.

Every post you share.
Every shirt you wear.
Every story you tell…
It’s a reminder for someone else.

You never know who needs to hear or see the messages this community promotes. It can be as simple as,
“Thank you for being here.”
